Thank you to everyone who entered the Ballot for the 2026 TCS Sydney Marathon presented by ASICS. The 2026 Ballot is officially closed, and thousands of runners from around the world are in the mix.
What happens next? Our team is busy finalising the draw. Keep an eye on your inbox - Ballot results will be announced on 29 October 2025. If you applied for the HPP you will be notified on October 28th, if you are unsuccessful there, you will automatically be rolled over to the General Ballot.
Unsuccessful applicants will receive advice on alternative ways to secure a spot, including our Travel and Charity Programs.

2026 Ballot Information
The 2026 TCS Sydney Marathon presented by ASICS ballot will open at 10:00am AEST, Wednesday 24 September, and will close at 11:59pm AEDT, Friday 17 October.

The TCS Sydney Marathon presented by ASICS is the newest Abbott World Marathon Major, with a record-breaking 33,000 finishers in the 2025 edition. The course is one of the most scenic and breathtaking routes in the world, starting in North Sydney, crossing the Sydney Harbour Bridge, and finishing at the Sydney Opera House.
